Armstrong Industrial’s booth at the Odisha Mining and Construction Equipment Expo last month

There were two clear messages emerging from the Odisha Mining and Construction Equipment Expo last month: system optimisation for improved performance, and lower emissions to meet sustainability goals.

According to Anup Punjabi, Sales Manager for India and the Middle East at Armstrong Industrial, these were imperatives for both original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end-users.

“In our engagements at the expo, the focus was invariably on optimisation solutions aligned with sustainability goals,” said Punjabi. “This was aimed especially at reducing carbon footprints, enhancing energy efficiency and conserving water.”

He highlighted that all industries in India are facing the same challenge – as reiterated by government – to reduce energy and water consumption.

“We were able to talk to expo visitors about how companies can do this while still improving the productivity and reliability of their operations,” he said. The event, Punjabi added, gave Armstrong Industrial a valuable opportunity to share our insights and solutions with visitors and fellow exhibitors – around our integrated fluid flow solutions.

Armstrong Industrial, a division of Armstrong Fluid Technology, was a gold sponsor of the Odisha Expo and used its exhibition booth to meet with end-users as well as local and multinational OEMs operating in India. Among the industries being served by the company are mining, steel, cement, power generation and chemicals – with its range of sustainability solutions.

“We were also pleased to welcome Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Honourable Minister of Industries, Skill Development & Technical Education, Government of Odisha, who visited the Armstrong Industrial stand and showed interest in how we are helping drive conversations around more sustainable systems,” he highlighted.

“The growing commitment to decarbonising the economy is raising the demand for our innovative pumping solutions,” he said. “There was particular interest in our advances in demand-based automation and digitalised optimisation, which help customers to deliver superior performance and value.”
